I want to give it more than two and a half stars. I really do. There were parts of this book that were just ingenious. And I liked that the author didn't set it up as "perfect woman with perfect life loses child". The people are flawed and no one is blameless. HOWEVER, the story rambles. The first 2/3rds of the book were murder to get through because it was like dealing with a scatterbrained chatterbox. Everything dissolved into mini spiels. It made for a very slow read for the first 200 pages. But I like the overall story and I like the message it tries to give.
