Dan Kimball introduces the contemporary phenomenon known in general as the "emerging church." Divided into two parts, the book first explains what differences there are between the emerging church culture and the modern church culture, then describes what various arms of church ministry might look like in an emerging church. An interesting and engaging read, this book is written mostly for church leaders, but the normal layperson - even as young as high schoolers - can read and understand the writing. As with any writing on religion or the church, take everything with a grain of salt, but on the whole, I liked the book and believe that a lot can be learned from Kimball on the culture of post-modernism and how the church is responding to it.
