Biography Theodor Geisel is known and loved by millions by his pen name, Dr. Seuss. He used this name as he wanted to save Geisel for what he felt was his "true work"--his writing for adults. I always pull these books out when I am teaching my kids how to read. They are not only fun but also have a lot of great elements to them that make it much easier for beginner readers. They are also fun to listen to on my end and for me to read to my kids as we usually end up laughing together at the silly words and pictures EVERY time lol. I am pretty sure that even after all 6 kids are grown up, these books will still remain on my bookshelf.

I love the political messages he puts in his books if you were to read between the lines. One fish.. two fish.. red fish.. blue fish... so many more in his books.. figure it out.. :)
