If you think that all children are little angels then this book will surely shock you. Absolutely fantastic and disturbing at the same time, this book brings with it the idea that all humans, even children, are inherently evil. When a group of young boys are stranded on an island and left to their own devices- with no society to govern their actions and punish their wrongdoings, the true nature of man (according to Golding, and to which I disagree) is shown- and its pure evil!
