A Reader wrote a review on The Divine Comedy (The Inferno, The Purgatorio, and The Paradiso)
Just finished The Purgatorio--still pretty scary stuff, but not half as bad as The Inferno! The man was obviously a genius, and the footnotes make it a pleasure to read, although lengthy, but so much historical information, like a book in itself. I'm in The Paradiso now--heaven at last!
