Two years ago, this was the most popular book amongst my 6th grade girls. It spawned a series which was equally as popular. I felt a little weird reading it as I'm obviously not one of the book's target audience members, though I read this because of its popularity and to help me figure out the complexities middle school girls. It's a funny read, and is supposedly similar to Bridget Jones. I suppose it might become a movie at some point. As an American, it's especially amusing to read the jargon of british coming-of-age girls.
