Michael Pollan grew up in Syosset, on Long Island, and has a B.A. from Bennington College and an M.A. from Columbia in English. He also studied at Oxford. Took me awhile to get through this but it has pretty much changed my view on food. I would love to know that the food I am buying and eating is from a local farm and not super processed.
