This, the third of the Chronicles of Narnia, is a fun adventure, with children fleeing on talking horses from a pseudo-middle Eastern society into a vaguely medieval European one. Aslan the Lion as God seems a little weird though not strictly Christian. The Eurocentric sense of superiority felt dated. Odd how Lewis wrote them and had them published in a different order than the way they are now read. Interesting how he re-uses the world to set stories with different characters and times. I hope to do the same one day with the world I am working on.
