At the end of the first book we leave Axis on the bottom of a mountain meeting his long lost father, who can tell him more of his heritage. We also see Faraday still with the big buffoon, which is not always a big buffoon, hes just doing what he grew up being taught if you ask me. This is also where Caelum is "brought" into the picture (but they dont know that.) This is a must read you cant just stop with the first book, they are like pringles you can't stop eating them up.
