I saw much of myself in this story. While I may not have ever been to "fat camp", my own struggle with weight seemed to be not unlike the author's. The way our well-meaning friends and family contribute unknowingly to the struggle was quite poignant for me. Her own nickname of "Moose" reminded me of something that was once written in one of my high school yearbooks - "Love you forever or until you get fat". Perhaps that can be the subtitle of my own memoir. Thank you, Stephanie Klein, for the inspiration!
