I loved most of this book but I think I've hit a rut in the YA Fiction genre. Everything is so predictable. Everything is the same. Almost every character is the same from book to book and author to author. Dare I say it's time for me to grow up and read something more thought provoking? I just love fantasy/fairy tales/etc so much!! I wish there were adult novels with stories like this that weren't trashy romance novels. This book had a few flaws in the plot/telling of the story. I didn't love how Beauty fell in love with the Beast and I didn't like the father. I had a lot of questions about why he even mentioned his run in with the beast and logically it didn't make sense why he did it. I guess to make the story progress but I thought it could've progressed without the father being a total deadbeat. All in all it was a decent book and I'm never one to tell people to not read a book because of my thoughts. If the description intrigues you READ IT!!! If not you're not missing out on a once in a lifetime novel.
