November 7, 2009 - Lulu.com is still a site to have my book advertise to compare with my business registration place.
Although I might be the might be the starter of Taiwan to use Lulu POD technology website to self-publish "My Struggle (English Version 1)" in 2008, I didn’t continue to use the marketing tool to sell book through internet because I have no credit card to use for internet book retailer. This defeat made me not let Lulu distribute my book to internet retailer such as Amazon.com. Handling and shipping charge for a book is too high from USA to Taiwan or other places become another problem to sell my book through Lulu. Finally, lulu becomes a site to have my book advertise only. I have to continuously struggle other ways for marketing.
Yesterday, I still went to pay my monthly rent as usual even I don’t use the registration place. The advertising posts were all gone again because Buddhist nun Yuan cleaned and rearranged her house 2 months ago. She seemed not like I post any information in the wall again about my book. But I still need to pay the rent. Remembered the thing about the business registration place of my publishing firm 3 years ago, Buddhist nun Yuan promised me to have that small room for business after she collected 6 months at NT$15,000 from me. Although I was not used to work there usually made her to reduce my rent to NT1000 in 6 months later, the rent expense already was NT$50,000 in total for the past 3 years and 5 months. There was only a book of “A virgin Struggle” to be sold there. In her tongue, it seems no one want to buy my book. Why do I need to post book data again? What can I say? After all, can I delete rental expense of business registration of YuChih Publishing Firm?
Lulu site is still the place to advertise my book or other internet communication even it might be no good sale, but the rental payment for business registration place might be only for receiving a mail sometimes from tax bureau. Usually, it is nothing there, but it has to be existed. Thinking the things 3 years ago, why didn’t City Government agree with my business registration in Jen Yen Lee’s office? I might have teaching income from her son to pay rent if it is also no business for my book. It is really a struggle to think about this matter.
