I love Anita Blake!! I think that is a little spit-fire that I would not want to run into in a dark alley. She is a complex and loveable character who kicks ass and takes names.

I'd have to say I love all those real moments where she questions her humanity. She is constantly questioning right and wrong. But I love how in the end she does what she does because she loves the people in her life. She respects what Life can be and therefore takes true offence when anyone tries to destory all that she holds dear. I find it comforting that she begins to rationalize and question the vampires "lives" and her own. It makes her character seem all that more real.

My fave is when she connects with her men. I love the picture in my head when she is trying to figure out Nathaniel. In the office of Guilty Pleasures, trying to understand him and simply failing. Ok I like it when she gets confused and these moments are about it.

I adore Anita's taste in penguins but I also would too agree with the sheer hair standing moments she has with herself in questioning if she should remain the way she is and was or whether she should become something more regardless if it is human or not I think personally that Anita will surprise us yet again in future books that's if the line does continue. Sadly I only have the comics and a few of the worded books, so if it does or not is exactly certain from my perspective.
