Talk board of William ShakespeareBack to William Shakespeare's Page
Macbeth is definitely my favorite as well. I hate Romeo and Juliet though. The story line I mean. Really, why do they have to be such dramatic teenagers. Good God, everything is true love when you are that age. You morn, and then move on.
I enjoy reading and studying Shakespeare because he always shows both points of view. His work is never one dimensional and truly relevant.
if music be da food for love, play on!!

I love quoting from Shakespeare because a lot of his famous quotes are so true about people's inner motivations.
there is a reason why everyother author is compared to shakespeare... he's shakespeare! his use of iambic pentameter and the way he so beautifully evoked emotions from the audiance. he understood human emotion and made it relatable to the common patons of his time and to us in modern day as well.
I love to read Shakespeare a lot...I am also a writer from Bangladesh. I am Reza Ghatok, a short story writer. My collection of short stories tittled BUNO BLESHWORI [The Innocent Goddess] published by Pathsutro in February 2008...
Even those who doubt his authorship of those rich plays or, like the insufferable Rupert Everett, just find it unfashionable to be an admitted fan of the Bard must have a basic familiarity with this great library of works. Just the words he invented alone mark his great contribution to our language and culture. Be sure to read "Coined By Shakespeare" by Jeffrey McQuain and Stanley Mallessone for a fuller appreciation of this particular talent he displayed so brilliantly. He has even been credited with helping to standardize the spelling of the English language. "We know what we are, but not what we may be." And reading these works, I believe, will help us to be better than we might have been.
Highly overrated; thanks to the lack of other materials available from the time period. Thanks to the failings of High School and College literature classes you are given to believe these were the best and brightest of their day. Do your research and find that this is the Harlequin Romance of it's day. Want great Elizabethan literature, the look up Christopher Marlowe to start with and proceed from there.
