I love all Marian Keyes books,in fact i love her and wish she was a relative lol!!All her books have at their core a serious problem (in this case, drug addiction)but are often hilarious too. rachels story is slowly unravelled and each step along her journey of self knowing is very believable. so much womens fiction is forgettable,so much so i don't want to read it any more,but MK just seems...more

Another lovely book by Marian Keyes dealing with the Walsh Family.

Middle Child Rachel, after what she considers 'recreational drug taking' find herself in a drug/alcohol/gambling/food rehabilitation center. Hold the glamor and ritz. 

She is forced to deal with her problems and is guided through a journey of self-discovery.

A great novel, absolutely hilarious. The Flashbacks on her...more

A great novel, absolutely hilarious. The Flashbacks on her romance with her-ex-bf are cute and wonderful. 

They're making a movie out of the film, though I can't say I'm excited. This is simply a novel that you don't want to have butchered by a film interpretation. 

My favorite Marian Keyes Novel.

This type of book is normally of no interest to me but after reading "Anybody Out There" my attraction to Marian Keyes' writing is instantaneous. Rachel's Holiday is my second and once I go back to my usual reads I will definitely check back on other Marian Keyes book every now and again.

Marian Keyes has a lighthearted approach to her writing where "real life" is woven into great humour. One...more

Marian Keyes has a lighthearted approach to her writing where "real life" is woven into great humour. One minute you're having laughing fits the next thing you know your eyes are watering and you're choking back a sympathetic sigh or two.   hide

This book is total, and utter pop candy chick lit. But it was still a great book. I don't know if entertaining is the right word considering its about addiction. It's not gritty, but it is somehow real. It's a girl thing I think and I happen to read it at a time when I identified with the main character. Ok, not about the whole cokehead bit, but certainly other parts of her personality and her...more

I listened to this on audio book. It was just ok. I've read 3 of Keyes' books and I've only liked 1. I think I'll give up on her.
