I felt that this one dragged a bit.  While the other stories in the chronicles seem to fit together, this felt out of place.  It is still the vintage stylings of Lewis, but there's something missing.

First really solidly written book in the Narnia series.  This book creates some wonderful imagery and has some sly humor.  I really ejoyed this book.

I found that the only real purpose this book served was to set up the character of Caspian. Beyond that, you could probably skip this book altogether. A better read than Magician's Nephew, but not by much.

My favorite of the series, the story is of a boy who runs away with a horse (who he finds is Narnian and can talk!). They have a series of adventures with wonderful characters and crafted lands.
