These books introduced me to the worlds of fantasy and allegory, and as such, I will always adore them! Lucy entering Narnia for the first time and meeting Mr. Tumnus is my favorite moment, and anything that recalls this for me, whether it's another story or something in real life, is something that I treasure. If you loved the movie, READ THE BOOK! The movie is brilliant, but there are things...more

These books are some of the best reads you could ever read in your life but the great thing about these is that there is really a truth behind i's symbolism. I think C.S.Lewis is an amazing allegory writer. He makes his allegories and, for the most part, they are fairly easy to understand. Also, the storylines are just spectacular in themselves!

These books were read to me as a kid, but i truly believe you never get the full imagination and creativity that has gone into these stories until you read them as an adult!! Forget the bias Catholic tradtional belifs coming into the story through the books, the creativity and descovery of the world of narnia is wonderfully done and i think that these books should be read one after the other to...more

Fairy tales, the greatest type there has ever been. I will someday read these to my children. Twice. Every night. The entire series. Twice. But, continuing, this book has gained its popular status for a reason. The stories are a little expectable due to their christian tie in, but they are fun none the less.

I loved reading through this series as it was so interesting to see the parallels of Christ, Bible stories and Christianity in general. The only one that was a bit slow for me was the Silver Chair but I still liked it regardless. I think my favorites of the series had to be The Voyage of the Dawn Treader or The Magician's Nephew. These are a must read :)
