A very good book. Beautifully written and the illustrations provide a wonderful backdrop. You get a very real sense of who the main character (Nobody) is, and his underlying sadness. In fact, I found the book to be full of this pervading sadness. You feel for the boy, and his plight. The character of Silas, his guardian is a very intriguing person. As a reader you are led to believe what and who he is, but it is never said out loud.
There are stand out chapters, (the last particularly) and others that, for me, did not grab my imagination. But on the whole, a very good read and I would highly recommend it.
