more the ending, though it may be considered apt, was all too 'right', a reward as if. justified perfectly, perhaps, but leaving one unconvinced. that apart, the book has a pace of its own; one that alternates between passive, routine existence, with its constant acquistion of a philosophical understanding, and an active and passionate physical adventure, with its constant search for a better and simpler, if not philosophically laced, understanding of man's most basic, universally acknowledged need for 'love', and a long-given up, near passive, journey towards it.a journey of self-discovery and self-realisation of an identity: both human, and in the context of human relationships- platonic and otherwise.
