Not one of my favorites from Lewis. Probably because it pertains to WW2 peoples more. Still good, with insights that can be garnered and applied to modern life.

A classic narrative as told only by Lewis on relating to the temporal and eternal value of creation.

I sincerely believe this is Lewis' best work. I think that shows when you take into account that he is quoted more from these sermons/essays than any other work published.Highlighting a variety of subjects, Clive Staples (C.S.) uses his well thought out logical conversation to bring to life the deepest of all joys. God.

One of the most powerful writings I've encountered. Turned much of what I've thought of God on its head. It's so short, but sometimes I'd read a statement and then could not read a word more before letting that statement sink in and cement itself into my thinking. Great for true seekers who want something really deep to challenge them.

The Weight of Glory and Transposition are two of the best sermons in this book. Lewis' ability to express his profound thoughts in such a lucid manner truly sets him apart from the rest when he writes about such challenging topics.

Lewis' essay, "The Weight of Glory," powerfully restates central themes of classic Christian thought and applies them in ways we need to hear today. This is certainly among the most powerful of his writings. The other addresses in this book are also worth reading. I recommend this collection highly.
