Son of a Witch: A Novel (The Wicked Years)

Painful. This book was selected for a book club reading. I felt obligated to read Wicked before I got to this one. I would rather have a root canal than go through another ordeal like these two books.

Painful.

I thought this was a good book. I really enjoyed reading it. I thought it was a great sequal to Wicked. I think that Gregory Maguire did a great job writing this.

I kept having to go back to Wicked to check out details I'd forgotten, but what a wonderful and completely different version of OZ. Seems like one big allegory for the Bush administration to me. I can't wait for the next book and sure hope there is going to be one! And I really did care about what happened to Lir, as odd as he was.
