more In the last 5 years HarperCollins Publishers has come out with a series short little books by C.S. Lewis. They are actually excerpts from previously published books, sort of a dollar menu of Lewis treasures for the everyday reader. While I highly recommend the entire Lewis corpus, if you are just getting familiar with him or you are not much of a reader but you want to get into his stuff, these books are just what you're looking for. This particular book is taken from Mere Christianity, as a summary of some of the apologetics that have made that book famous. It basically takes the reader through a short but profound defense of the Christian faith, including some of Lewis's greatest passages from his epic work. From start to finish this short expose is a great source of witticism and truth that will break through to any heart. If you're trying to give someone a picture into what Christians believe, this appropriately titled book by this respected author would be a great place to start.
