If you can't get enough Midkemia stories from Feist, then this book should make you happy. Another interlude, set in one of the areas only peripherally covered in the original Rift war saga, this story is a nice little stand-alone murder mystery.

I like these characters: Durine, Kethol, and Pirojil. Makes me want to read Rosenberg's books. Apparently these characters were picked up out of another work and thrown into Midkemia.

It was alright, took along time to build up and I was able to guess the ending. But it still had a nice little twist.

Not as great as the other Feist books. Lots of strategies... but still well written and Feist fans would enjoy it.

I think Feist has been watching too much CSI.. ok maybe this book doesn't have all the high tech gizmos.. but total murder mystery with not enough blood shed for my tastes.

Whether you've read lots of Feist this is a great book. Although set in the same world as the rest of the series its can be easily read as a stand alone. This is a great fanasty murder mystery. Superb!
