The Phantom of the Opera the Original Novel

I really liked it, especially towards the end. There was no way you could have stopped. Every word left hooked you and grabbed you and pulled you to the next. Compared with the movie....not quite as good but still pretty close, which is saying something because I loved the movie.

A very good read. It does get confusing at some parts-Leroux writes his book more as a mystery novel. For exploring this 'angel' it's more about that than anything else. For those of us who already know that O.G is actually a deformed ghost it does give the book less of an appeal. But it has spawned the imaginations of readers everywhere and that is what a book is about! Very good!

Reading the book gives you a much better perspective of who the Phantom was... wonderful, quick read.
