Really did not like this one...It is not really fair for me to write this review because I stopped  reading it 50 pages from the end.   I remember reading this waiting for my tires to put on my wheels and just saying "the hell with it" and leaving it at the place.. It is a creative take on an arabs point of view of the norsemen but for me the langauge of this novel really turned me off, which is...more
 Really did not like this one...It is not really fair for me to write this review because I stopped  reading it 50 pages from the end. A great, fast read that was made into a really bad movie.  The narritive style takes a few pages to get used to, but draws you in by page 5.

Very different.  Had a hard time getting into it but once I did, I kind of liked it.  I don't think I'd recommend it necessarily as "one of my favorites" but it was a decent read.

this was passed around my group of friends. it was turned into the '13th warrior;' a flop of a movie.vikings go into a cannibal area and overtake it. It's a crazy cool book and i couldn't put it down. very well done, as michael crichton usually does.
