A book that reminisce relationship of love and lost, rekindle of dream and hope. There are several stories which varies emotionally. The story sets in Prague, a place without past memory according to the author.One may like the intangible plot by Kundera, one may just felt the aloofness with the characters. I love all of Kundera's books but this one is one of my favorites. He is a master of introspection and writes in a style rarely seen today. Fine modern literature. Reads effortlessly yet intelligent and often profound.

A collection of stories on a theme. There are some brilliant pieces. Honestly, this book is overlooked in comparison to 'Lightness of Being' and 'The Joke,' but it is very worthwhile.
