I love this book. This is the perfect book to read on the beach on the Pacific coast. I borrowed it from a beach house we were renting at the time, replacing it with a book from my own collection. It delves into the anatomy of storms, the forces of nature at play and the battle of man against the elements.

Powerful, amazing, couldn't put it down, the movie in NO WAY does this book and this story any justice. But kudos for George Clooney...This book really tells some details about dying at sea that are hard to swallow but Junger tells it like it is, and like it likely was for the doomed crew of the Andrea Gail.
