more No work of fiction compares with this book. The reader learns as Scout does from her encounters and evolving relationship with the Cunninghams. The reader takes the journey with her as she comes to understand Boo Radley and gets a glimpse of how he sees the world from his vantage point on his front porch. You know when she does why it is a sin to kill a mockingbird. This story evokes emotion, sounds, smells, a time and a place like no other. The line, "There are some men in this world who were born to do our unpleasant jobs for us," makes me want to be an Atticus Finch in our world. It's not just thought provoking, it's a book that inspires a change in behavior.
