To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Perennial Modern Classics)

This is one of my favorite novels. I finally own a first editon. Each year around my birthday, I get it from the shelf and reread it. Each year, there is another lesson from its pages that I can apply to my life. If you read this in 8th grade, and haven't picked it up since - read it again!

I don't know why it took me so long to finish reading this book; I suppose the more people tell me how good something is, the less I want to read it. But it's funny how things can change for me so quickly. I'm glad I listened to them because this book ended up being one of my favorite books. In this time where the Blacks and whites have incongruously blurred into the shades of Grey, books such as these which talk of the good old values of honesty and integrity are nothing but pure gold dust. A must read for the so called gen-X.

American classic. Everyone should read this book, once twice, maybe 3 times.
