The Birth House: A Novel (P.S.)

Absolutely LOVED this book!!!

I found this book to be quite monotone. It was just interesting enough to finish, but had no "peaks". Did give nice perspective on life back then for women. Wouldn't recommend.

The book was set in Nova Scotia during WWI. It is the story of how women looked after themselves during marriage and childbirth. A moving story of how women gradually took more control over their lives.

Really enjoyed this book - engaging story, well-written, and an interesting take on the medicine, feminism, and "women's work."
