Prior to reading this book, I was asked the question: when was the last time a book made you cry? I couldn't come up with an answer. In fact, I avoid books that make me cry - and it's usually hard to get me crying over a book anyway. This book made me cry. I should probably situate it properly, my husband was into his second week away for work, and I was pregnant at the time! Nevertheless, there were moments in this particular novel that were heart wrenching for me. I've read all Marion Keyes' other books, and loved them all, but this one was especially poignant.
