Fantastic. I've put off reading this for some time. When I was smaller I just got bored after the 'Horse and his boy'. This has become a new favourite in the Narnia series.

Not my favorite of the Chronicles thus far - though the last half of the book really made up for the first half. Eustace is an interesting add to Narnia - really liked the scene of his encounter with Aslan! Just not as much "action" as Prince Caspian or The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe - but still a good read.

I've just recently discovered CS Lewis with my 4th grader students. Now I can see why his Narnia books are so appealing, universal, why they transcend time. After reading Dawn Treader, I must say that he is a master storyteller! I look forward to the movie adaptation, out 2010!

At sea, they travel with Caspian and reepicheep, landing on island after island searching for caspian's fathers old...more
