Some people don't get the end of The End, or the end of the whole series. Reading between the lines, the series are about life, about win and loose, that not everytime things will be right, that sometimes we have to take dubious decisions/actions, that we won't always have answers for every little thing and we'll still have to stay honest and true to ourselves. To be honest, I've only read the first three and jumped to 'The End'. It was quite dull and typical for the series, having Count Olaf chasing them around wherever they go, and he almost always wins in the end of each book, though I have sort of got an idea how each is about. 'The End' is truly different and it takes a different turn than expected. Informations from its previous books come back...more
