I am currently reading this series, but unfortunately in the reverse order. That doesn't matter, since each book does well at standing by itself. This one is kinda tragic ... talking about how humanity rose above its chimpanzee origins, and how our ability at telling stories is our greatest strength as well as weakness.

I mostly liked it, I can't say I agreed with everything the authors said. I was amused by their insisting 'We aren't saying your God doesn't exisit' when one point they were making was pretty much that God is only what you make up.

Second Science of Discworld novel. This time it deals with human cultural and scientific history, how humans cope without narrativium and the emergence of extelligence, with Shakespeare as Roundworld protagonist.

Didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the first - or rather found it harder reading. The first one was more about physical science wheras The Globe is more about social science.
