We read this for freshman english, and I absolutely loved it. Even though it was written a "few" years ago, it can still relate to people this day in age.

Where to begin... This book is... Superb. There is absolutely no other word for it. The depth of these characters, the plot that, with every page seemed to thicken. Such a young girl was able to capture the tough life of a Greaser, and the easy life of the Socs. She really did make the balance between rich and poor clear. But she also topped it with a morale and it was summarized in one quote ;...more

The Outsiders is a great book for people of all ages. It teaches you the importance of family and friends.It's a great and beautiful story.One of my top favorites!
