The Tenant of Wildfell Hall (Penguin Classics)

I don't remember ( one of the many 18th century novels I read in college)... but I know that I really enjoyed it.

In my opinion, Anne Bronte has been overlooked due to her sisters. This is one of the first powerful feminist novels.

Helen is my favourite Bronte heroine. Anne Bronte took a brave step to write such a strong character with such determination to break free from a bad marriage against the times social mores.

i really liked it. the second half of the book, i.e. the part the -spoiler- reading of helen's manuscript -end spoiler- slows the pace down alot, which i would say is my biggest problem with it. but very enjoyable regarless.
