i never expected to have such fun reading a dickens novel, i had assumed dickens was boring just because they make you read it at school...the picwick papers is a book full of wit and humour, it grabbed hold of me and didn't let go till the last line...

this must be my favourite book of all time although I often change my mind...but I really loved reading this. My dad loves it...he read a passage from it at the Christmas table last year which was really touching. Great couple of paragraphs discribing what Christmas meant to Dickens...great stuff.

Laugh out loud funny, and of course brilliant character-writing.

Still brilliant, after almost 200 years. What else could a writer wish for his work?

This was so amusing! Especially if you like nineteenth century English class humor. Which I apparently do.

I think I've read all of Dickens' books, and this was my favorite. He really had a sense of humor and a range far wider than just the misery of the human condition in 19th century England. Great read.
