I actually really like Fanny Price, even though her character is extremely meek and timid, which would normally repulse me in a heroine. I really despised Mrs Norris though, I wanted her to die every time she opened her stupid mouth! And as for Dan's review... wow. I actually really like Fanny Price, even though her character is extremely meek and timid, which would normally repulse me in a heroine. I really despised Mrs Norris though, I wanted her to die every time she opened her stupid mouth! And as for Dan's review... wow. I recall almost all of the male characters, except Edmund and William, being immensely self-centered and verging on the edge of stupidity and offence throughout most of their actions. This book is probably not for everyone though, in my opinion.   hide

The heroine is not as appealing as Austen's other protaganists, but she gives hope to us passive, meek types.

I know a lot of people don't like this book. I have always admired the strength and personal conviction of Fanny. One of my top favorites of JA.

just fine ...better than wat they show in movies these days..totally descriptive . twists n turns in romance is wat makes the book worth reading..nice read 4 sme lonely days
