So tremendous! But still so many details about the spanish civil war that make it hard to follow at some points. You must be too concentrate when you start reading it.All in all,it's a great book that helps you enrich your knowledge about one of the least understood conflicts of the last century!I strongly recommend it for someone who wants to specialise in this civil war!

Taattua Beevoria: Hyvin ja kiinnostavasti kuvattu kertomus sodan synnystä ja tapahtumista. Lopussa oltaisiin ehkä voitu enemmänkin kuvailla Francon hallintoaikaa.

A comprehensive, thorough, and highly readable account of the Spanish Civil War. Beevor tends to be too conservative for my liking, and the book doesn't quite have as literary of a feel as Stalingrad or The Fall of Berlin, but it's an admirable effort nonetheless.

The battle between anarchists, facists and communists. Beevor details the history of this civil war and it can be a difficult read at some points. I came out with sympathies toward the anarachists!

This is a really tremendous, detailed history of the Spanish Civil War. It's hard going at times because it is so intensively researched. Best account I've ever read about a conflict that prefaced so many in the mid 20th century.
