World Without End

Loved it but read Pillar of the Earth first**

This is a real emotional book. I just read a part where some guy was executed for trying to steal something from the church. They excoriated him. I had to put it down for the night.

A little too "Pillars of the Earth: Kingsbridge Reloaded" for me. I was hoping for new plot lines. The characters were, as always, compelling, though.

I was equally as enthralled with World Without End as I was years ago with Pillars of the Earth -- amazing!
