Incredible, believable characters on the high plains of South Dakota, tied together by their association with a murdered teenager.

A vivid portrayal of the people inhabiting Twisted Tree, SD in a novel in stories. The murder of a young girl bookends the chapters of people who have connected with her, and how her death intersects with their lives. The tales twist and turn and ultimately weave a resolution to all of their lives. Illuminating prose; poignant stories.
