Of all the Mr Putter books (and I mean all of them, to date) this is my favorite- it captures the child we never lose as we get old and the "cranky legs" that go with age too. Thank you Ms Rylant! Though my children have long outgrown Mr Putter books, I haven't and I am confident that they will come back to their comfortable message.
