more This is possibly one of the hardest books I have ever read, but once you get into reading (and re - reading) Eco's in depth knowledge of all the different topics covered in the story (mythology, history, mathematics, religion, the occult, I could go on.....) there is a wonderful story about conspiracy, what we know (or think we know) of what is truth and fiction, all wrapped up in, well, a kind of 80's set Italian adventure/detective story (apologies for the excessive fragmentation of the last sentence).
