more I can not for a tiny bit relate to any of the reviews that label this novel as a "historical insight" into the mid-XX century life, since, above all, "Mrs. Dalloway" is perfectly timeless. It is a wonderfully intricate exploration of the human mind as it hits the existential crisis, shown from different perspectives. It might be a little too materialistic to my liking, despising and denying the mystical (spiritual) side of life, but anyhow I can completely relate to one too many feelings and agonies described so precisely by V. Woolf in this literary masterpiece.
