Not quite as likeable as "Pride and Prejudice", but that's doing it an injustice. Jane Austen's first novel is perhaps one of her sweetest. The sisters are adorable characters, and the way they interact is so endearing. I see myself more as a Marianne character, I easily get swept up in the moment. But Elinor is so lovely, how she keeps the feelings of her heart a secret until the last moments. well worth the read. strong characterization of the two lead women. one of the best of austen. tv series by bbc on this is very good and the movie also reasonable. if you like this obviously you'll like pride and prejudice. recommended.
