All telling, no showing. Not even the romantic scenes managed to keep me interested, which is usually a very bad sign. It's not bad as such, just very bland. Anne is a very inferiour writer to her two sisters, but at least her characters didn't exasperate me, the way the characters of "Wuthering Heights" did, so if I had to reread one of the two, it'd probably be this one, despite WH being better...
