All of Ann Radcliffe's books are like this: sentimental novels/captivity narratives that include a lot of supernatural weirdness and read like travel logues, but I really enjoyed the plot and the characters. Oh, and her novels always end like the Harry Potter books — no matter how hard you try to figure out what's going on, you won't find out until the end when she tells you.
