I loved this book, but I loved talking about it more. Someone I know (especially anyone who attended Richmond) needs to read this book so we can talk about it. And be prepare for me to NERD OUT.

A very VERY heavy 19th century novel. The first half is mainly a soap opera starring characters based on Percy Shelley and Byron. The end of the world only gets started in the second half - and there is no doubt whatsoever what the outcome will be! Lots of literary references, but one for the fans of Mary, and not the best of her novels with which to start.
