steps in to fragmentary moments of moral life and thoughts. definitely not prefers momentary impact like Gogol . House is neither real nor finctional. reputable Rusian literature.

Dostoevsky is a marvel. What amazes me in this specific piece is the relative freedom that the criminals have had in the colonies... Important: Dostoevsky wrote this from his own real experience. It's almost a documentary.

Overvalued by critics. It is more Tolstoy like "poetry" writing (I said nothing about Tolstoy :-)) than the one written by Dostoevki in the pursuit of God
