One could think Austen is all about romance and impossible love stories. Then he'd be surprised and amused by the irony and the subtle insights of this book. Of course Jane Austen's writing style is out of question and needs no further praise

My summer Austen reading for 2009--short and sweet.  Catherine is probably the most naive and innocent character I've encountered in an Austen novel yet.  Henry Tilney another Darcy!
